The DGAW wants to be a forerunner for the future of the materials industry which moves the development from waste management towards a resource economy. With this goal in mind it creates a combination of production, disposal, politics and science towards product responsibility. In the field of waste management the DGAW has been considered for a long time to be the appropriate partner for industry and politics in the debate concerning “alternative industry of raw materials”.
