The association
The founding session of the DGAW took place on December 3, 1990 with 80 participants from various sectors of the resource industry. The founders of the DGAW were convinced that it was worthwhile, to invest work and effort, to found this technical and scientific association, which represents as broadly as possible individuals, companies and organizations constituting the resource economy in Germany. Beyond that, the association should emphasize all elements, which critical science and citizens’ initiatives contribute to this field.
With the development of Waste Management towards the Raw Materials- and Resource industry the DGAW was constantly confronted with new challenges. In general, a steadily growing interest in our topics can be observed. For the first time in 2009, we are glad to be able to count over 300 members in our association.
